I Love the Smell of ABS in the Morning

Finally, the Rail Gun gets another shot. Slamming another 8 brick mortar into the barrel, the gunner fires and hits the White Death squarely on the top of its turret. Two vehicles on either side have now been disabled, while a good handful of the EllerDrachen targets, er scouts and kamikazes, have been killed. The armies continue to entrench, with the Axis using the terrain to hide from the guns of the EllerDrachen defenses.

Lets blow the lid off this thing!

An unfortunate side effect of losing an engine is the pilot can no longer fire the guns of his vehicle without physically being next to it. Thus, the Blitz pilot found himself staring down the barrels of the guns of two mecha, the Scorpion and half the White Death, without a weapon to use. Lucky for him, there was a ninja hanging around behind his vehicle. The ninja hopped up on the back of the Blitz and fired the remaining 4 missiles at the rest of the White Death, destroying it utterly.

A second ninja didn't find himself in such a good predicament, though. He was pinned behind a rock formation with the Scorpion staring him squarely in the face. Nowhere to run, so he might as well continue to hide. It's not exactly a comfortable place to be though.

The Axis attacks on 3 fronts

The Scorpion finally made his move, and the Ninja that was hiding decided that was as good a time as any to jump on the back of the mech and hack into the cockpit. Unfortunately, he tripped and fell (clumsy dumbass) and gets pierced through by one of the legs.

At the same time, Sam takes a shot at the Scorpion and misses. The Mech then takes a shot at him. Sam tries (rather vainly) to throw his weapon at the gun in an attempt to jam the barrel, and misses so pathetically that he stabs his own man through the back with the death gun. The shot then hits Sam, killing him.

Meanwhile, the Rampage cab is blown apart by those rascally chicken mechs and the gun of the Squall's trailer is destroyed by the Scorpion (it was busy this round). The Rampage gets revenge, though, taking out the Spider hanging out in the valley. Two pilots can come in very handy sometimes.

Swarming troopers

The Scorpion continues its move across the battlefield, which unfortunately for it brings it into range of a great number of EllerDrachen troopers, which then proceed to blow the crap out of it. A medik and a mechanik are also making their way over to that side of the battlefield, to fix Sam and the Blitz, respectively.

The two chicken mechs advance from their hiding place to engage the ground troops, and also get picked off by the amassed troopers, although a couple of grunts die in the process.

On the right flank, the amassed guns of the hovertank level themselves on the Kobold. Through a remarkable display of the force, the Kobold's Jedi pilot is able to parry every attack, about 7 of them, and return fire, destroying the hovertank in the process. The Pizza Girl champion attempts a stupendous feat to block the killing shot with a blast from her death gun, but she fails and drops the weapon. A second stupendous feat to leap gracefully down and grab it to fire again also fails, finding her laying flat on her back. A third stupendous feat (she is a champion, after all) finds her actually standing up and ready to move on the next round, instead of being unconcious or stunned.
