Prologue - Oh Where Do We Begin? The wind blew quietly through the town of Drakeville. People were driving through the town, heading to wherever their destinations take them. Out in the city park, a few groups of people were having a little too much fun. The town's SCA troop had discovered some most interesting mushrooms among a grove of trees and had brewed up a batch of mushroom juice. They didn't realize, however, that it was hallucinogenic. Now they were defending Mount Melone as if it were their castle. They had shared the mushroom juice with their friends, the civil War recreation actors currently working in Fort Legoredo. They started tripping, believing that they were defending their fort from the Confederate Onslaught. This wouldn't mean too much in the town of Drakeville except for one little secret. Somewhere within town was housed the All-Powerful Crystal of Really Powerful Power. The holder of this crystal, assuming they have the Tech Level to handle it, wield Really Powerful Power. The people of Drakeville, who are TL4, know nothing of the existence of the crystal. The Civil War guys, who became TL3 under the influence of the 'shrooms, and the SCA guys, who became TL2 with those same 'shrooms, knew even less. The Crystal was hidden within a grotto deep inside Mount Melone, where the SCA troupe had set up its defenses. They knew not what they had, but weren't about to let anyone into their castle anyway.
Convenientely enough, there was a bronze plaque in the center of town that specified where the Crystal was hidden. Given the correct TL, one could translate the plaque and determine just where the crystal was. But it wouldn't be that easy. Guarding the plaque were the Pepsi Brotherhood, tasked for eons to make sure the crystal would never fall into the wrong hands. And to make sure that everyone drinks plenty of Pepsi and eats lots of fast food. Together, Colonel Sanders, the Pizza Hut Delivery Girl, and the Taco Bell Chihuahua had been protecting the crystal for centuries, and weren't about to let it be discovered without a fight. But on this particular day, something was brewing (besides the mushroom juice). Two separate armies were invading this sleepy little town on this day, and wouldn't leave without a fight (and a Crystal). The Axis, with their powerful TL6 Droid-based army, and the EllerDrachen Federation, with a variety of TL5 vehicles and weapons, both had their sights set on obtaining the crystal and escaping city limits with it. Who will survive? Who's army would reign supreme?
The battle was originally going to be Gino Melone vs. Adrian Drake, Adrian's 947 points of TL5 army vs. Gino's 850 points of TL6 army. But with the addition of Troy Cefaratti and Eric (last name unknown), the battle needed to be expanded. Troy was photographer, and given the task of defending Fort Legoredo. Eric held the mountain with a heaping helping of Castle troops. Adrian entered the town from the Northeast. Gino came in from the West. The Crystal is hidden inside the grotto of Mount Melone to the south. An army has to get a troop to the plaque in the center of town before it knows where the crystal is and can head for it. The race is on!
