Rampage
04/24/2000
The Rampage is designed to break through roadblocks and deliver a payload of infantry deep into enemy lines. When the trailer supports are reconfigured, the vehicle can carry up to 12 troops and their weaponry, albeit in a rather packed way. The model shown on this page has bulked up ceiling supports to withstand the brutality of a BrikWars game.
The cab of the vehicle can be separated from the trailer if need be. The cab is equipped with 4 MKI lasers and a plow for pushing through roadblocks. The trailer has a roof-mounted MK3 Mortar cannon and a separate set of controls so that the mortar can be fired even if the trailer is detached from the cab. It is not mobile, however, as it does not have a motor. It does, however, have its own power system to run the guns. The Rampage was subliminally influenced by the Mad Max series, specifically the gasoline transport featured in the second film (The Road Warrior). The doors on the trailer and the grillework give it a distinct tanker-truck look, although the mortar belies its true nature. It was built for the inaugural Ohio Brikwars event held on April 15th, 2000.
