Thomas E. Dewey Interior
12/27/2006
The interior of the airship is fully detailed. The crew area is separated into 4 areas: Crew area, hangar/flight deck, engine room, and observation deck.
Observation Deck
The observation deck sits at the top of the airship. Here mission planning and planespotting take place. Isaac tends the bar.
Crew Area
The crew area features two decks. On the top deck are the bridge, crew quarters, captain's quarters, head, and mess. On the bottom deck are a shooting range, harpoon storage, equipment storage, water processing, a brig, and access to the hangar deck.
Flight/Hangar Decks
The hangar deck features storage and maintenance for the four Cardinal Fighters. The crane in the center of the deck will lift up the fighter and drop it down the hole in the deck, onto the launch platform of the flight deck. There are four access points on the hangar deck: Forward to the crew area, aft to the observation lounge, and port and starboard access hatches to the flight deck and engine rooms.
The flight deck is dedicated solely to launching and catching Cardinal fighters. A steam catapult fires the Cardinal forward. Nets deploy amidships to catch fighters returning from aft.
Engine Room
There are 2 engine rooms, one port and one starboard. The airship can be flown even if one engine room is down, though at a highly diminished level. The two-deck engine room features two boilers, control center, and lots of pipes and tubes.
