Marvin the Martian

My ongoing fascination with Marvin the Martian has finally reached its fruition. Given 12 bulk tubs of green bricks, some free time thanks to a racquetball injury, and a bit of inspiration, what we end up with is this. Marvin is 31 inches tall, and including the flag, is 24 inches wide.

Once assembled, and as long as it’s standing on a flat level base, the sculpture is balanced enough to stand on its own, although the flag is too heavy for the flagpole (thus the little burp mini-mountain at the tip of the flag). It took about 1.5 weeks to build, from concept to completion. It’s about half solid and half hollow, depending on where the support is required
